Lyngen Husky Safari
Join us for an exiting dogsledding adventure in the heart of Lyngen, specifically, the Svensby area. You will be greeted by 30 happy Alasken Huskies, waiting for you to run and cuddle! Drive your own team of dogs through the scenic landscape, surrounded by the Lyngen Alps.
Snowmobile safari in the Lyngen Alps
We start the safari in gentle terrain and follow an approved snowmobile trail so you can learn to handle your snowmobile. We will then continue inland towards the Lyngen Alps, a mountain range with peaks reaching 1,500 m or more above sea level. There will be many stops, allowing you to take photos and enjoy the scenery.
Sami siida of Lyngenalps
Every year the reindeer arrive to the Lyngen peninsula in the spring for their summer pasture and travel back to Finnmarka for the winter season. In our camp you will meet some of the reindeer, who stay in Lyngen. Learn about the life of reindeer herders, both past and present.
Snowshoe walk in Lyngen
The snowshoe walk starts at Svensby Tursenter and takes you on a round trip in the surrounding area with views of the pointed Jægervasstindene/Lyngen Alps. The tour price includes a hot lunch after the walk.

Lyngen Safari is an excellent base for all kinds of activities in the area in both summer and winter, close as it is to the Lyngen Alps and with marked walking trails from the site and all around the fjord.
As there is very little light pollution, there’s a good chance you will see the Northern Lights from just outside your door. We offers a range of activities, including snowmobile safaris in the winter and boat hire in the summer. The area is also ideal for cycling.

Wow what a fantastic day. The guys were absolutely superb and the snowmobiles were top notch. The surroundings were so beautiful and the fish soup once were done was lovely. We were really looked after from start to finish. We can't wait to come back and join in this adventure again but during the night to chase the lights. Thanks again for a wonderful day !!

I have gone snowmobiling before in Finland, but it was nothing like this incredible experience. First of all, the Lyngen Alps which is the setting for the ride might just be the most beautiful place on earth. The guides were really friendly and knowledgable - and given I was on my own and the rest of the small group all knew each other and mainly spoke French, they looked after me and paid special attention to me which was nice! The snowmobiling was an amazing experience and they were all very well looked after and clearly well maintained. But perhaps the best thing about this was their friendly dogs Freya the Border Collie and Quill the Husky. They were the most gorgeous and friendly dogs ever and getting to play with them before and after the snow mobiling was great!

We enjoyed our stay very much: deep snow, beautiful mountains, warm and cosy cabin. We could see the Northern Lights from the patio. The village is very quiet, it's a perfect place for relaxing. Definitely would like to go back
